The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested IRS officer Sahi Ram Meena with a bribe of Rs one lakh. Sahi Ram Meena wrote a book named "Need of Tax Reforms in India" on GST. Meena's book is selling online. The Anti-Corruption Bureau had seized property and cash worth more than Rs 100 crore during raids at Meena's office and different houses.

Sahi Ram Meena has come to know that in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, she wanted a ticket from BJP and Congress and she had written a letter to the presidents of both the parties claiming that they had firm belief in their ideology. Meena Chhabra and Gangapur City Legislative Assembly wanted to contest the assembly elections and they tried for it, but failed.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau has detected assets and cash worth Rs 100 crore in the raid conducted by Meena's office and various houses till Monday. In the initial investigation, it has been found that Meena's stay was six months and he wanted a Lok Sabha ticket from BJP or Congress. During the raid, the police has received such letters in which they have claimed that they have been a staunch supporter of the RSS since childhood.

Meena also received another letter which was probably for the Congress. In this he claimed that there was strong conviction in his secularism. A senior official said, "These letters are not very relevant for us in more property than income, but Meena will be questioned whether he had sent these letters to the presidents of both the parties or not."
